Leachianus geckos are the largest known living species of geckos. This is probably how they got their nickname "The Giant Gecko." They originate from the forests of the main land and satellite islands of New Caledonia. Their adult weight ranges from around 160 grams to over 400 grams! They are extremely vocal and are said to have 4 to 5 known vocalizations. These giant geckos have hypnotic patterns and can exhibit vibrant coloring in their bars that range from pink to red to purple.
